Farm News

March 2008

Well spring is finally here and it is a welcome site! The grass is coming up and the ponies are beginning to blow out there coats, and our first baby will be here soon.

I am looking forward to the show season and am still trying to decide who to show. We are planning on hitting both shows in Walla Walla, McMinnville and Albany.

I am so excited to be breeding our mares to the 2007 WPCSA Section A Champion Dan Patch, many times supreme chamipion *Pendock Larkspur and WPCSA and USEF champion Rollingwoods Cookie Thief this year. These are three outstand animals that have excelled in the performance and halter ring and I think that the offspring will be a tremendous addition to the farm.

December 2007

Well winter is here, and it is a typical Oregon winter with plenty of rain and mud, and I can truthfully say I am anxious for spring. We have more mud and rain already this year, than I can remember in quite some time.

We were blessed with three beautiful foals this year, Wyndam Hills Amazing Grace (Lanes Mastercopy x Lanes Mandy Lee). This was a half brother to half sister cross and I could not be more pleased with this little girl if I had hand picked her myself. She will be retained as a future broodmare. The second foal was Wyndam Hills Cognac (Lanes Mastercopy x Tidecreek Brandy). This colt is so typey and an incredible mover. He will be gelded this spring and we will be holding on to him for a future performance pony as he will be a top of the line small, or a lovely driving pony like his sire. Lastly was our ooops baby Wyndam Hills Wynter Rose (N.P.F. Bryn Rowan Madog x *Bengad Rose Hip). This filly is growing into a beautiful big, bold chestnut roan filly. I am so pleased with her and wow she has the most incredible movement and she is a perfect example of a welsh mountan pony.

We got some exciting news many times Supreme Champion Lane’s Queen of Hearts ( Rowfantina Gold Coin x Lanes Fairy Queen) has been checked in foal to Wyndam Hills Trystan (*Ceulan Lwcus x *Bengad Rose Hip) This should be an incredible cross, and will be Trystan's first foal. Unfortunately I will have to wait until October, but that is ok, it will be well worth the wait! The other piece of this exciting news is our International Halter and Driving Champion Pineridge Miss Kitty (*Captain Cat x Nols Sylveenia), has been checked in foal to our Sr. A stallion N.P.F. Bryn Rowan Madog (Wynsom Churchill x Lanes Pretty Polly). This foal is going to have some of the best of the old bloodlines and will be carry many crosses to some of the great old Coed Coch lines. This baby is due in June. The last baby we are expecting is going to be every bit as nice out of our lovely new cremello B mare Flying Diamond Antique Lace, who is bred to many times halter and performance champion Lanes Master Copy (Gayfields Mastermind x Lanes Cherry Blossom). This foal will be a dilute, but may also be grey as Lacey does carry a grey gene, and it is also due in June.

We will be standing 5 outstanding stallions this year, palomino Section A - Wyndam Golden Sovereign (Rowfantina Gold Coin x *Bengad Rose Hip), grey Section A N.P.F. Bryn Rowan Madog (Wynsom Churchill x Lane's Pretty Polly), blood bay Section A - Wyndam Hills Trystan (*Ceulan Lwcus x *Bengad Rose Hip), brown Section B - Lanes Mastercopy (Gayfields Master Mind x Lanes Cherry Blossom), and lastly our newest Jr. stallion black Section A - Wyndam Hills Dylan Thomas (Wyndam Hills Golden Sovereign x *Stirlings Rebecca). I am very excited about my boys and what they have to offer to anyone's breeding program. All of the stallions with the exception of Dylan Thomas will be available for AI.

After taking the last two years off from showing, I plan to be back in the show ring with a string of homebreds, and am hoping to see all of you that I have missed so much!
